Intel participated in the event celebrating the 40th anniversary of Credicitrus, the largest credit cooperative in Brazil. Founded on September 14, 1983 by a group of 24 members of Coopercitrus, which today has a network of 120 service locations distributed between São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul.
The celebration event, under the theme “Business, Leisure, Education and Culture”, provided a series of activities, including a lecture on Generative Artificial Intelligence given by Alessandro de Oliveira Faria, an Intel Innovator. Generative AI is one of the most exciting and transformative technologies today, and Faria demonstrated how it is shaping the future.
During his presentation, Alessandro de Oliveira Faria shared an overview of Intel’s Intel oneAPI, openVINO and Edge AI technologies, highlighting how these innovations are driving digital transformation across multiple industries.
Intel oneAPI: This is a unified development platform that simplifies programming for distributed workloads, covering both CPUs and accelerators such as GPUs and FPGAs. This versatile tool can be applied to a wide variety of applications and industries.
Intel openVINO: The acronym “openVINO” comes from “Open Visual Inference & Neural Network Optimization”. This software development kit is designed to accelerate the development of computer vision and neural network inference applications.
Edge AI: The concept of Edge AI involves processing AI data closer to the source of generating that data, such as IoT devices, rather than sending the data to a data center. This results in lower latency and faster decision making.
Intel IPEX: This environment facilitates the practical application of Generative AI, allowing developers to optimize AI models more efficiently.
The Credicitrus event served as a platform to disseminate knowledge about these emerging technologies and their potential impact on various sectors, highlighting Intel’s vision of enabling innovations that transform the world.
Intel is committed to making AI accessible to everyone, on every device, while promoting visibility, transparency, privacy and trust across the entire ecosystem. The company maintains its commitment to “Taking AI Everywhere” and is committed to collaborating with organizations like Credicitrus to drive innovation and promote technological advancement in Brazil and around the world.
